The Showbiz Pops Orchestra (SPO) was formed in 2007 by Richard Ward-Roden and
Stuart Calvert: two distinguished conductors and musicians long associated with the international world of musicals.
Their passion was to create a concert orchestra committed to performances of musicals in their original theatrical orchestrations, and film scores, popular classics and opera. Their infectious enthusiasm was shared by the leading professional West End musicians who joined them, and together they entertain both the seasoned enthusiast and the casual music lover.
